hubergroup Plans Multi-Process Ink Showcase for LOUPE Americas 2026

07 August 2026: hubergroup will present a multi-process ink portfolio at LOUPE Americas 2026, scheduled for September 15-17 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois, near Chicago, USA. The company has announced booth 505 as the venue for its UV flexo, water-based, solvent-based and offset ink systems for label and packaging converters.

The event, formerly Labelexpo Americas, now covers labels, flexible packaging and folding cartons. Organiser Informa Markets says the LOUPE identity reflects this broader package-printing and converting remit.

iray targets fewer ink changes

The centrepiece of hubergroup’s planned display is iray, a dual-cure UV flexo ink system developed for the North American market. According to the company, the same system can print on paper, film and shrink sleeves and cure under conventional UV or LED-UV equipment.

That multi-substrate approach is intended to reduce the number of ink lines a converter must stock, train staff to use and troubleshoot. hubergroup will also present iray MGA, its global series for food-packaging applications.

Water-based, solvent-based and offset options

The company’s wider booth programme will include HYDRO-X, a modular water-based ink-mixing system for paper, board, aluminium and plastic-film applications. Water-based barrier coatings designed to improve oxygen, water and grease resistance in mono-material packaging structures will also be discussed.

For flexible packaging, hubergroup plans to show its solvent-based Gecko range and an expanded portfolio of nitrocellulose-free or NC-free, inks. The company positions these products as options for converters seeking fewer components and packaging structures designed with recycling in mind.

Its offset display will feature MGA Label, a low-migration series for in-mould labels and food-packaging work. The range covers process inks, expanded colour gamut inks, spot colours and a mixing system. hubergroup says it is designed for substrates from 50 m film to board weighing up to 1,000 g/m².

Local production backs the portfolio

hubergroup says the vehicles used in its narrow-web products are developed and manufactured in USA. Formulation work for folding-carton and flexible-packaging applications also draws on its research teams in Germany, Poland and Italy.

Clinton Melius, Director Liquid Inks North America, said the company’s aim is to reduce pressroom complexity by giving converters “one inventory, one training, one troubleshooting path” across paper, film and sleeve applications.
