Insight Communications Showcases Mimaki’s Sublimation Printer with Dot Adjustment System at SITEX Surat

07 February 2022: Mimaki’s TS100-1600 model Sublimation printer with Dot Adjustment System (DAS) was a show-stopper at SITEX Expo held in Surat in January 2022. The TS100-1600 (1.6 m width), equipped with the DAS, has a function to automatically adjust the dot position and feeding amount that affect print quality. TS100-1600, launched a year ago Mimaki Engineering, is an Entry Model Sublimation Transfer Inkjet Printer for Textile Application.

Moreover, the DAS (Dot Adjustment System) function is adopted to automate dot position correction and feeding amount correction that were previously done manually, reducing the workload on the operator drastically, says Shivani Kaur Dhingra, Marketing Manager, Insight Print Communications (P) Ltd. who are the distributor of Mimaki digital textile and dye sublimation printers.

She says that although the pandemic is still a talk of the town, the Surat textile market is bouncing back. Although some companies are cautious, many are taking daring steps to make new investments into Mimaki’s dye sublimation printers. “We have a customer in Surat who have a dozen Mimiki digital printers. It shows that although there are cheaper options in the market, companies who believe in branded products prefers only to buy global brands such as Mimaki.”

In the textile and apparel market, with the diversification of customer needs, the demand for on-demand printing, which can reduce inventory by producing small lots and various kinds of products in a short delivery time, has increased instead of inventory sales of mass-produced products.

“The TS100-1600 meets the market needs of the textile and apparel industry, and as an entry-level model with high performance and an affordable price, it can be used with confidence by a wide range of customers who are considering the introduction of digital printing.

The printer is also equipped MAPS4 (Mimaki Advanced Pass System to ensure stable, high-quality prints. Generally, swath boundaries are straight lines. Therefore, a slight misalignment between boundaries causes banding or uneven color printing. MAPS4 (Mimaki Advanced Pass System 4) reduces banding and uneven color printing with blurred boundaries similar to gradation printing.

The new printer is fitted with NCU (Nozzle Check Unit) which detects the status of nozzles automatically. When the NCU detects a missing nozzle, it automatically performs cleaning. If cleaning does not solve the problem, NRS (Nozzle Recovery System) automatically replaces the defective nozzles with other nozzles, which enables users to continue the print operations without waiting for a repair by a technician.
