Lux Cozi Plans INR 600 Crore Dankuni Manufacturing Expansion in West Bengal
15 July 2026: Lux Cozi Group has laid the foundation stone for a planned INR 600 crore expansion of its manufacturing campus at Dankuni, West Bengal. The ceremony took place on 11 July 2026. The project is an expansion of the existing Dankuni site.

Lux Cozi says the 600 crore project will add a highly automated manufacturing operation and help it serve domestic and export demand. It has described the planned campus as one of Asia’s largest garment-manufacturing hubs, but that is a company target rather than an independently verified ranking.
The bigger story is capacity. Lux Cozi says the Dankuni facility currently has annual capacity of 12 crore pieces and that the expansion will add another 20 crore pieces. Separately, it says its nationwide annual capacity will rise from nearly 20 crore pieces to about 36 crore pieces.
“The Dankuni facility will not only strengthen our production capabilities but will also create meaningful employment, accelerate regional industrial development and contribute to India’s emergence as a global textile and apparel manufacturing powerhouse,” Ashok Todi, Chairman, Lux Industries Limited, said at the occassion,
The investment should support employment and industrial activity in West Bengal. The foundation ceremony was attended by Suvendu Adhikari, Chief Minister of West Bengal and state government’s officials.
