NPE2027 to Bring 2,200 Plastics Exhibitors to Orlando

03 September 2026: The NPE2027 Plastics Show will run from 3 to 7 May 2027 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Organisers expect more than 51,000 attendees, 2,200 exhibitors and participants from over 130 countries, making the five-day event a major buying and technology meeting for the plastics industry.

The NPE2027 organiser, the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS), owns and produces the event. Its attendance, exhibitor and country figures are forecasts for 2027, not confirmed turnout.

Why is NPE2027 expected to draw a large industry audience ?

An official exhibitor-space update reported 906,194 square feet of committed space, with 82% of the available show floor sold during space selection. More than 1,105 companies selected 1,128 booths, while over 170 companies were new to the event.

The scale gives processors, equipment makers, material suppliers and brand owners room to inspect competing systems in one venue. It also puts NPE2027 alongside other international fairs examining plastics circularity and digitalisation.

The organiser has confirmed five NPE2027 technology zones:

• Bottle Zone: blow moulding machinery, barrier technologies, moulds, labelling, filling, closures and inspection equipment.
• Recycling & Sustainability Zone: recycled content, renewable materials and technologies intended to cut greenhouse-gas emissions.
• Materials Zone: additives, colourants, resins, polymers and material science.
• Manufacturing Services Zone: suppliers, designers, engineers and software providers serving applications such as medical products and automotive safety.

• Mouldmaking Zone: mould design, fabrication, lighter materials, automation and shorter production cycles.

The format resembles the zone-led approach used at CHINAPLAS 2026 in Shanghai, where recycled plastics, bioplastics and recycling technology received dedicated areas.

How will recycling and bioplastics feature ?

As of 20 July 2026, the organiser had listed 94 bioplastics exhibitors for NPE2027. Its bioplastics exhibitor update covers bio-based polymers, compostable resins, additives and machinery for compounding, extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding and thermoforming.

NPE2027 will also introduce Sustainability Park and bring back a programme that collects plastic scrap generated during live demonstrations. The organiser says NPE2024 diverted all plastics, cardboard and aluminium collected from the show floor and kept more than 516,000 pounds of material out of landfill. Related machinery was also demonstrated through plastics recycling at K 2025.
