OMAN PLAST 2026 at a glance ….
Dates: 08-10 December 2026 (three days)
Venue: Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre, Muscat
Edition: 10th (the show first ran in 2013 and is now held every year)
Sectors: Plastics, Rubber, Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Recycling, Printing & Packaging

What the show covers

OMAN PLAST brings the whole supply chain under one roof – raw materials, chemicals and fertilizers; machinery and recycling equipment; and finished plastic products. The aim is simple: connect makers and buyers, show the newest technology, and open trade links between Oman, the GCC and the wider world. Past editions have drawn exhibitors from more than 30 countries.

Why Oman, and why now

Oman sits on a strong petrochemical base, with downstream polypropylene and PET production around Sohar feeding local plastics manufacturing. Building up local, valueadded industry is a stated goal of Oman Vision 2040, the national plan to cut reliance on crude oil.

Sustainability is reshaping the market at the same time. Oman is phasing out single-use plastic shopping bags under Decision 8/2024, with a full ban planned by 2027. That shift is lifting demand for recycling, paper and cloth alternatives, and smarter packaging – all core themes at OMAN PLAST. For machinery and material suppliers, it is a clear opening.

Who should take part

The show is built for plastics and petrochemical manufacturers, machinery makers, recyclers, printers, packaging firms, traders and raw-material suppliers. It gives exhibitors a direct line to industrialists, technocrats and buyers across Oman and the GCC – a region that imports much of its machinery and finished goods.
