iLEARNING+ Expands Printing Industry Training for Fall 2026
15 October 2026: PRINTING United Alliance announced four new iLEARNING+ courses on 8 October 2026 in Philadelphia, expanding its online printing industry training for fall 2026. The additions cover bindery operations, digital marketing, direct-to-film production and promotional products, giving print businesses options for teaching production skills and assessing new sales opportunities.
According to the Alliance, iLEARNING+ has reached 10,000 learners in more than 60 countries. The organisation presents the new courses as resources for employee training and professional development.
Joe Marin, the Alliance’s senior vice president of member services, said the programme supports companies training workers and bringing in new talent. The latest release follows earlier iLEARNING+ course additions, which included AI applications and heat-printing fundamentals.
Printing industry training: four new courses
Bindery Professional Certification
The four-hour Bindery Professional Certification, taught by Alliance staff, combines online lessons, video demonstrations and assessments. It explains how printed sheets move through finishing into completed products, covering cutting, folding, saddle stitching and perfect binding. The stated duration includes knowledge assessments and the certification exam; learners who pass the final exam earn a digital certification badge. Lessons also address paper grain, coatings and weight, job planning and workplace safety. These details connect finishing decisions to the materials and equipment operators use on the production floor.
Digital Marketing Masterclass for Print Professionals
Colin Sinclair McDermott, The Online Print Coach, teaches the two-hour Digital Marketing Masterclass for Print Professionals. Aimed at print, signage and garment-decoration businesses, it connects content, social media, email, search and paid advertising. The course covers identifying buyers, planning campaigns and encouraging repeat orders, rather than treating each marketing channel as an isolated activity.
Direct-to-film Production Techniques
The 1.5-hour Direct-to-film Production Techniques course comes from Aaron Montgomery, co-founder and CEO of Our Success Group. It examines artwork, RIP and colour settings, film, powder, curing, cutting and pressing, alongside vendor evaluation and production costs. Learners also examine gang-sheet preparation and consumable selection, including weak points that can cause reprints and material waste. Its emphasis on the whole production system addresses the process-control issues discussed in Screen Print India’s DTF printing technology guide.
Promo Products Essentials
The one-hour Promo Products Essentials introduces commercial, digital and offset printers to the promotional products market. Nikki Stella, Jay Busselle, Theresa Hegel and Joan Miracle teach the course. Topics include why customers buy promotional products, how the market differs from traditional print and where a print business might fit.
Course access and company licensing
Alliance members receive course discounts. Complimentary educational access has eligibility conditions: the official educators and students guidance ties benefits to Alliance membership and member institutions, with access to courses and selected certifications. It does not promise unrestricted free access to every certification.
This continues the Alliance’s earlier expansion of free access for educators at member institutions. Businesses can also arrange iLEARNING+ course licensing to embed training in their own learning management systems and assign content to teams or departments.
