Screensource Expands its Capabilities and Raises to a Higher Level – Creates a Customised 8ft x 14 ft Screen as per Client’s Requirements
26 March 2024: Sandeep Kshirsagar, Founder of Pune-based Screensource, who seized the opportunity to expands his company’s capabilities and raise them to a higher level when task of creating a customised 8ft by 14 ft screen as per a client’s specific requirements presented itself.
Sharing the experience, Sandeep Kshirsagar recalled, “One of our clients required a large screen. We already had the experience; it was just a question of expanding it to a larger size frame. There was a risk involved but then all growth contains an element of risk and we had confidence in our abilities to manage the assignment. We had been interacting with client’s team since a while and the way we discussed scope of work and procedure involved gave them confidence in our capabilities as well.”
Elaborating on what the process entailed, he added, “The procedure involved increasing the size of the clamp. It is of 22 newtons with applications for the ceramic and glass industries. My client had faith in my abilities because I possessed the technical knowledge required for the assignment. We have started supplying them with Stretched Screen Frames and they are happy with our quality.”
Sandeep Kshirsagar further said, “We make about 500-600 frames of different sizes in a month for a clientele from all over India. Our clients are mostly into Membrane Keypads, Dome Logos, Automotive Decals, Water Slide Decal, Gaskets, Ceramic and Textile Printing, etc.”
Explaining the difference when you get into larger size frames, he added, “you have to take greater care as the size of cloth of mesh is bigger so the quantum of wastage would also be higher if one is careless. People usually do not go in for such a large sized screen. They only do it for themselves when required but not for others, so this was a big achievement for us.”
Screensource commenced operations in June 2020 amid challenging phase of Covid-19 pandemic. Today, we are successful with a large portfolio of products. We operate our business from a 3,000 sq. ft. facility in Pune. Within a few years the business has grown by almost four folds both in terms of clientele, volume and value. Screensource was started as a private limited company but it was then converted into a partnership firm.
