Proell at Fakuma 2026: Functional Inks and Protective Lacquers

29 September 2026: Proell GmbH has announced plans to exhibit at Fakuma 2026, taking place on 12-16 October at Messe Friedrichshafen, Germany. The ink and lacquer developer lists Hall A4, stand 4120, as its location, giving plastics processors a meeting point to discuss functional decoration and surface protection.

Proell at Fakuma 2026: confirmed attendance

Proell’s event listing confirms the booth, while the organiser confirms the dates. Its established portfolio covers in-mould decoration and film insert moulding (IMD/FIM), screen printing and pad printing.

The product details below describe published capabilities, not completed demonstrations or a verified seven-product launch at Fakuma. Several appeared in Proell’s K 2025 announcement, which Screen Print India covered in its earlier product preview.

Functional black inks and lighting

Proell’s technical release describes NORIPHAN HTR N 990/011 NC as a carbon black-free, non-conductive black for printed electronics. The company reports electrical resistance in the gigaohm range and radar transmission. The solvent-based, one-component ink supports forming and backmoulding.

NORIPHAN HTR N 959 serves a different optical purpose. Proell describes it as black in incident light but transparent under transmitted light, for radar-, infrared- and lidar-transmitting areas in displays and touch panels. Such applications connect with the wider development of IMD touch-display surfaces.

For illuminated panels, NORIPHAN HTR N 093/800 is a white-transparent light-scattering lacquer. Proell says it spreads individual LED spots into a more uniform illuminated area and can replace light-management films in suitable applications.

Protective lacquers for formed and printed parts

The company’s protective-lacquer catalogue lists Norilux FastCure 1 for first-surface protection of IMD/FIM parts using polycarbonate and PMMA films. Gloss and matt versions provide different surface finishes.

Proell describes a drying, forming and UV-curing sequence: processors remove solvents, form the decorated film and then UV-cure the shaped part. Compatibility pretests remain necessary when overprinting other inks. Screen Print India’s report on Proell’s IMD/FIM development centre explains its work on ink layers, forming and injection-moulding trials.

The same catalogue identifies NoriCure ORL-1 as a UV-stabilised varnish for exterior applications, available in gloss and matt versions. NoriCure HC-1 is a scratch-resistant UV-curing lacquer for polycarbonate films, coated PET films and overprinting printed products. These products address different protection requirements rather than serving as interchangeable coatings.

NoriPUR and near-infrared drying

For NoriPUR, Proell specifies Hardener 047 as an NIR-activatable hardener that accelerates drying in a matched near-infrared process. Applications include beverage crates and appliance control panels.

The company says specially developed opaque white inks on beverage crates can fully cure within a few minutes under intense NIR drying. That is an application-specific manufacturer claim, not a universal curing time for every NoriPUR ink, substrate or production line.

FAQs

Where can visitors meet Proell at Fakuma 2026?

Proell lists Hall A4, stand 4120. Fakuma runs from 12 to 16 October 2026 at Messe Friedrichshafen in Germany.

How do Proell’s non-conductive black and light-scattering coatings differ?

NORIPHAN HTR N 990/011 NC provides an opaque, non-conductive black layer for printed electronics. NORIPHAN HTR N 093/800 instead diffuses LED light across illuminated areas. They perform different functions within a decorated component.
