LionCircuits Plans INR 441 Crore Terra Circuits PCB Campus
29 October 2026: Bengaluru-based LionCircuits plans the Terra Circuits PCB campus in Mulvad, Vijayapura district, Karnataka, under an INR 441 crore proposal approved on 19 June 2026. The proposed 100-acre campus would expand domestic printed circuit board production; the company targets trial production and initial operations by June 2027.
The Karnataka Digital Economy Mission confirms the investment approval. The announcements describe a planned expansion, not a commissioned campus. Its domestic-sourcing aim sits alongside India’s wider electronics component investment push.
Terra Circuits PCB campus: phased production
In a CircuitDigest interview published on 29 June 2026, LionCircuits outlined an initial focus on high-volume two-layer, four-layer and six-layer PCBs. These conventional boards serve electronics applications, including products in consumer durables market. Later phases would add facilities for HDI boards, artificial-intelligence computing boards and server PCBs.
CEO Murali Srinivasa told CircuitDigest that the first fabrication facility would provide approximately ten times the company’s existing production capacity. That figure represents a company projection. He attributed the expansion to capacity constraints and delays in fulfilling orders at existing facilities.
The company also plans to retain quick-turn services at its existing Karnataka facilities while gradually moving larger production volumes to the new campus. The distinction matters for customers: the expansion does not mean all existing services will immediately relocate. Nor does the June 2027 trial-production target establish a confirmed commercial shipping date.
Fabrication, assembly and research on one site
The campus plan combines PCB fabrication with board assembly, component warehousing and a dedicated research and development centre. Its research priorities include materials, manufacturing technologies and capital equipment.
Fabrication produces the bare circuit board, while assembly adds electronic components. LionCircuits’ existing assembly services include surface-mount and through-hole assembly, solder-paste stencils and functional testing. These current capabilities help explain the integrated business model, but they do not constitute a confirmed equipment list for Terra Circuits.
LionCircuits also intends to work with Indian suppliers and research organisations to reduce dependence on imported PCB materials and equipment.
Strengthening Domestic Electronics Manufacturing
LionCircuits currently operates manufacturing facilities in Karnataka, supporting PCB fabrication, assembly and related electronics services.
The Vijayapura expansion is expected to improve production scalability, shorten delivery timelines, encourage local sourcing and create employment opportunities.
With growing demand from automotive electronics, telecommunications, industrial automation, consumer electronics and computing infrastructure, Terra Circuits could become an important contributor to India’s efforts to establish a globally competitive PCB manufacturing industry.
