VIATT 2027 Sets February Dates as Vietnam Moves Up the Textile Value Chain

25 August 2026: VIATT 2027 will take place at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City from 24-26 February 2027. The fair will connect textile suppliers, manufacturers, technology providers and buyers as Vietnam’s export-focused industry seeks more domestic sourcing, cleaner production and higher-value goods.

The official fair information confirms three days at SECC, 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, with opening hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Visitor registration is already open. Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, or VIETRADE, organise the event. Their partnership began with VIATT’s 2024 launch; the 2027 edition will be the fourth fair in Ho Chi Minh City.

Why is Vietnam pushing for higher-value textile growth ?

Vietnam’s textile and garment sector exported more than USD 22 billion of goods in the first half of 2026 and retained a full-year target of USD 48 billion, according to the VIATT 2027 announcement, which cites Vietnam News. The same source says the industry still imports more than 60% of its production inputs.

That dependence leaves manufacturers exposed to supply costs and trade disruption. Industry leaders are therefore calling for better productivity, more local materials, wider export markets, digital tools and greener production rather than another round of volume-led expansion.

VIATT’s role, she said, is to bring materials, production technology and international markets into one business setting.

What will VIATT 2027 cover ?

The fair will retain three connected product sectors:

• Apparel Fabrics & Fashion, including yarns, fibres, fabrics, accessories and garments.
• Home & Contract Textiles for residential, hospitality and commercial uses.
• Technical Textiles & Technologies, including textile processing, printing and production equipment.

This structure lets a buyer trace a product from yarn and fabric to finished garments and manufacturing systems. It also gives suppliers a way to meet customers beyond their usual segment.

How did the 2026 edition perform ?

VIATT’s 2026 post-show report recorded more than 17,000 visits from 54 countries and regions, around 460 exhibitors from 21 markets, and 18,000 square metres of exhibition space. Organisers also reported more than 350 business-matching meetings involving buyers from over 20 countries and regions.

The 2026 fair introduced a German Pavilion and Türkiye Zone. Those additions, together with participation from other Asian and European sourcing centres, gave regional manufacturers a broader supplier base.

Sustainability and traceability stay on the programme

VIATT plans to retain the Econogy Hub and Econogy Check in 2027. Organisers say these areas will cover certified fibres, recycled materials, circular production and traceability systems. The wider conference programme will address regulation, digitalisation and trade developments.

Traceability matters because global brands increasingly need information about yarn, fabric and garment suppliers. Better records can help exporters answer buyer questions on material origin and production practices, though a trade fair alone cannot solve Vietnam’s dependence on imported inputs.
