IPAMA Promotes PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 at IPMEX Malaysia

29 August 2026: IPAMA promoted PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 during IPMEX Malaysia 2026, held from 12-15 August at MITEC in Kuala Lumpur. President K. S. Maan and General Secretary Iqbal Singh met regional print-industry representatives and invited exhibitors and buyers to the Greater Noida show, extending the event’s overseas recruitment drive.

The Indian Printing Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association sent two office-bearers to the Malaysian exhibition. K. S. Maan became IPAMA president in May 2026, while the association’s 2025-27 governing council lists Iqbal Singh as general secretary.

According to IPAMA’s account of the visit, Maan presented an overview of Indian printing and packaging machinery manufacturing, technology adoption and market opportunities. The delegation also met Asia Print members, exhibitors and other industry representatives.

IPAMA’s official profile identifies the association as a founder member of Asia Print. That relationship gives the Indian body a direct route to printing associations across the region, although the submitted release did not name the Malaysian organisation or officials who discussed the proposed delegation.

What did the Kuala Lumpur visit cover ?

The trip centred on business recruitment for the next PRINTPACK INDIA. IPAMA invited machinery makers, technology suppliers, distributors, printers, packaging companies and buyers to attend the five-day exhibition in Greater Noida.

The association said Malaysian industry representatives offered support for bringing a group delegation to India. It did not disclose the group’s likely size, participating companies or any signed agreement, so the plan remains an expression of support rather than a confirmed delegation.

Why PRINTPACK INDIA 2027 matters for exhibitors

The official PRINTPACK INDIA website schedules the 17th edition for 30 January to 3 February 2027 at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Its stated product scope covers printing presses, post-press and finishing systems, converting equipment, digital printing, signage, packaging machinery, materials, paper products and related logistics.

The organiser groups the show around linked production stages, including in-press, post-press, finishing and converting technology. Digital printing, signage, packaging machinery, paper and logistics also form part of the stated scope. Visitors can therefore compare equipment across print and packaging during one trip, while overseas suppliers can assess demand across several connected production segments.

Demand emerged early. Screen Print India reported that IPAMA received 335 first-day bookings on 25 June 2025, based on applications accompanied by initial payments. A July 2026 capacity update said organiser data placed the exhibition close to full capacity and that extra temporary halls were under consideration.

For overseas suppliers, the show offers one venue for meeting Indian buyers, comparing machinery in operation and discussing distribution or production partnerships. The Kuala Lumpur visit was therefore a recruitment trip with a clear purpose: turn IPAMA’s regional association ties into exhibitor and visitor participation in Greater Noida.
